#1550 Eternity on imdb:

In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with and her first love, who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive.

Definitely a different kind of romantic comedy as Kasi hinted at, OK I misintepreted the long title a bit, but it gave me the first laugh and that was not the last one, so this was also different as it was a funny and for me good RC

Maybe not a completely innovative setting, I had hunches of Beetlejuice here and there (less dark, of course!) and some other bits I cannot pinpoint right now, but they made the best of something that is not the best thing to happen in life, well it definitely is the last thing

But then it continues and that makes it interestingt, struggles that can be entangled to that weird people and weird circumstances and most of all perfect daytime change linens that seemed to come straight out of the Augsburger Puppenkiste... Only no 1950's cars made it less paradise-ish for me^^

All in all I was well entertained and give the film a solid 2...

Ich fand dem Film konzeptionell auch in Ordnung, und viele Verweise auf die verschiedenen Ewigkeiten ziemlich putzig. Die zentrale Story aber – von Joan, die hin- und hergerissen zwischen ihrem ersten Ehemann – der früh im Koreakrieg verstarb – und ihrem zweiten Ehemann – mit dem sie 65 Jahre verbrachte – auch okay, aber die Auflösung dieses Dilemmas war nicht so mein Fall. Der Film präsentiert drei Enden hintereinander (nachdem er nicht müde wurde zu betonen, daß die einmal getroffene Entscheidung endgültig ist), von denen der letzte Schluß - sondern macht auch abseits davon wenig Sinn. Besser hätte ich es gefunden, wenn Joan oder wenn sie Insofern fand ich den Film etwas inkonsequent, ich habe mich daher für eine 3+ entschieden.
