What a charming film with this cute little horse... whait a minute - that was a dog, a Great Dane to be precise!
Bill Murray had not much to play here, but he did a good job playing the character with a dark side to it that was unnoticable for most until he took the final step... Tough subject but well managed. The focus was not on him or that darkness, it was on the dog and what happens to him. And the forming of his new relationship with Naomi Watts was very entertaing, a mix of a power struggle and for acceptance and respect. It grew and it was good to watch that. The ending was relieving as it was left open...
